2. God’s out of this world kind of Love! (1John 3:1-2) – “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.”

3. God’s sacrificial Love for us! (1John 3:16) – “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”

4. God’s disciplinary Love! (Heb 12:5) – “Have ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him.”

5. The wonderful Love of God should motivate us! (2Cor 5:14,15) – “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”

Conclusion: Not only does God love us, but we are to love Him. “We love him, because he first loved us” (1John 4:19).

Why? Because we are loved in the 1st degree.
