GOD’S HOPE BUILDERS
God’s Hope Builders is a group of willing workers who bring their energy to different construction needs and opportunities throughout the Southeastern U.S. These opportunities include building new structures and working on structures that are old and in need of repair. Often, the building takes place at a church or church camp, and can include a disaster site. Several of these men have experience in construction and are seasoned contractors, electricians, carpenters, etc. Others are men and teens who have a heart to be involved in helping repair or build a facility. Wives often join the mission trip to help carry water, cook, and offer their support in the work.
WOMEN’S MISSIONARY UNION
W.M.U. stands for Women’s Missionary Union. Our responsibility and pleasure is missions. All women are invited to be a part of this ministry. If you have a heart for those in need, come join us. Seeking to walk worthy and to be pleasing to Him, we plan something each month that is a ministry in His work. For example, we visit shut-ins. We have a birthday party every January for the residents of the Retreat Nursing Home in our local town of Monticello.
We also have a heart for children in need. In the past, we have collected canned goods, and provided book bags for school children and gift certificates for those in children’s homes. We have sponsored the Christmas Child shoe boxes, and we always try to help those who have needs at Christmas.
In addition, the W.M.U. observes the Lottie Moon Christmas offering and Season of Prayer for International Missions, and the Annie Armstrong offering and Season of Prayer for North American Missions.
We are always willing to be in His service, whether it be here at home or in other places. All women are invited to be a part of this missions ministry. If you have a heart for those in need, come join us. We meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 10:30 AM.
