NRC’s Sunday School Ministry exists to:
REACH PEOPLE
TEACH PEOPLE and
MINISTER TO PEOPLE
Through the Sunday School
ministry, every member is given the opportunity to become the disciple God has called them to be. A disciple should:
- love God with their whole being in accordance with the first and greatest commandment – “You shall have no other gods before me.”
- love others in accordance with the second commandment – “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- find a place of service and activate their spiritual gifts – “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-12
- invite others to know Christ – “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-2
Our desire is to empower people and then put them to work in the body of Christ. Sunday School provides the greatest opportunity to produce growing disciples and a healthy church.
