Introduction: Today, it’s hard to know what is true and what is a lie, especially when it comes to our President (whom we need to pray for). The man Job faced this same dilemma. Listen to his words:

“How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?” (Job 21:34)

Job who was an upright man went from riches to rags, from the sunshine to the rain, from blessings to burdens, from the mountain top of bliss to the valley of despair all because of Satan’s attacks, which God permitted. The devil claimed that Job was serving the Lord because everything was going his way. But he also said that would change, if the Lord took down his hedge of protection around Job. After that, he would curse God. Therefore, the horrendous attacks toward his HOME, his HEART, and his HEALTH were unleashed by Satan.

In just a few strokes , Job lost 7 sons, 3 daughters, all of his camels, oxen, sheep, servants, and ultimately his health. Infected with putrefying boils from the top of his head to the sole of his feet, he was seen sitting in a pile of dust and ashes scraping his boils with potsherd. On top of that, his wife told him to curse God and die.

Yet, Job replies,
“21And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. 22In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” (Job 1:21-22)

Next, his three fair weather friends came to comfort him and yet they became a thorn in his side as they accused him of sin and wrongdoing. According to them, that was why he was suffering. But they were wrong!

Job defends himself in this passage.
“How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?” (Job 21:34)

Finally, God answers Job but never explains to him why he was suffering. Ultimately, Job repents and is restored with a double portion of the Lord’s blessing in the end.

Conclusion: Are you suffering? Of course, nothing like Job. But…..Why?

How are you dealing with falsehoods that we are hearing from the government? Gas prices escalating, inflation now 7.9 %. It appears deception is the tool of the devil which is feeding the public with a bunch of lies. What do you think? No doubt, Satan is using world leaders to accomplish his goals….kill, steal, and destroy.
