Weary in Well Doing

Introduction: Have you ever been “weary in well doing”? Probably so! If you are a Mother, Father, or a Dedicated CHRISTian, then you more than likely have experienced weariness. But why? And what should we do?

1. When you “give out” all the time, then you need to “take in”!

“29Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.” (Col 1:29)

Paul understood the Lord Jesus’ calling that demanded he give out constantly. Therefore, he being led by the Holy Spirit, reminds us the importance of taking in. Are you taking time to take in?

2. How do we take in?

“29Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.” (Col 1:29)

Did you notice the words “his works”? It is His WORK! The word used for “work” speaks of energy.

ἐνέργεια,: (en-erg’-i-ah), which means working, action, productive work, activity; confined to superhuman activity.

Also did you see the phrase “worketh in me mightily”? In other words, since it is our Lord’s work, then it becomes His will that we operate under His POWER!

3. Hudson Taylor once said, “God’s work, done God’s way, under God’s power, gets God’s blessing”!

Conclusion: Why not right now, surrender your will to our Lord’s will, and ask, then trust for His Power.
