Five Non-Negotiables – Prayer

Introduction: Without daily output of prayer, a CHRISTian will remain an infant…..or carnal.

1. Daily PRAYER

“2Continue in prayer.” (Col 4:2)

Daily devotional Prayer should include:

* Confession
* Thanksgiving
* Supplication
* Worship

How is your prayer life? Do you make a special time to talk to our Lord every day? This Pastor finds it very helpful in starting off the day with our Lord in prayer. Then throughout the day and night, we can lift up our hearts and words to our trustworthy Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! He knows our needs anyway. But His desire is to have a relationship with us. How is your relationship with Jesus today?

2. Special Prayer for others!

“18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” (Eph 6:18)

Being in a right relationship with Jesus or staying connected, allows believers to intercede for others….this includes:

* Marriages
* Families
* Those not CHRISTians
* Our nation
* Churches, Pastors, ministry
* Health needs, etc…

Do you pray regularly for the needs listed above? Why not start? Why not get you a prayer book and start recording answered prayers. It will encourage you as well as build your faith in a FAITHFUL God!

Conclusion: Is prayer a priority to you? Or has it become a spare tire, just when you need it. Do not forget, the purpose of prayer is not just getting from our God what we want, but rather it is establishing a relationship that will last throughout eternity!
