Introduction: Do you feel safe? What will make you feel secure? Where can we go to find Peace and Comfort? How about reading Psalm 46? I just got off the phone after praying with a daddy whose daughter fainted and was rushed to the hospital….2 text messages were received earlier requesting prayer for loved ones diagnosed with Covid. In the last week, this Pastor has had 3 friends who have passed away and also had the privilege of seeing 2 of them receive Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior and then baptizing 2 of them.
Where can we go for real security, but to the Lord? There we can discover we are “SAFE in the ARMS of JESUS”! How?
1. Because in the ARMS of JESUS is a POWERFUL PLACE!
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psa 46:1,2)
In the ARMS of Jesus is a place of SECURITY! In the ARMS of Jesus is a place of STRENGTH! Don’t you need STRENGTH these days to serve the Lord while dealing with the challenges of life?
2. Because in the ARMS of JESUS is a PEACEFUL PLACE!
“2Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.” (Psa 46:2,3)
Because this world is so troubled with wars, disease, sickness, and problems, we all need a PLACE to find PEACE. Do you have a PLACE? PEACE that money cannot buy! It is available for us today.
3. Because in the ARMS of JESUS is a PERSONAL PLACE!
“4There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. “5God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early…. 10Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psa 46:4,5,10)
Having a relationship with the person of Jesus Christ by the indwelling and filling of the Holy Spirit brings great stability to our life! Without Him, we would all be basketcases! But with Him, we are able to stand and move forward fulfilling His purpose and plan.
Conclusion: Will you place your life right now in the ARMS of JESUS? If you do, you will find it a POWERFUL, PEACEFUL, and PERSONAL PLACE!
