Introduction: Will you make a CHOICE to REJOICE! Or will you CHOOSE to LOSE? Why should we REJOICE?
Here are several good reasons to make a CHOICE to REJOICE:

1. Your Name is written in the Book of Life! (Luke 10:18–20) – “And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”
Did you get that? Jesus said to REJOICE! Think about it. REJOICE not because devils were subject to the disciples but because their names were written in heaven! That is a good reason to REJOICE!!

2. Other reasons for rejoicing! (Phil. 4:4) – “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”
Remember the circumstances when this epistle was written. Paul was in prison. Eventually, he would be executed for his faith in Jesus Christ. Yet, he was admonishing the believers in the Church in Philippi as well as us today. So if he could REJOICE, then we ought to REJOICE!

3. Reasons to Rejoice! (Rom. 12:15) – “Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.”
Notice the balance of both weeping and REJOICING. In other words, be sensitive to others, and more specifically, what they are going through at the time. The Holy Spirit is our enabler.

4. Reasons to Rejoice! (Psa. 118:24) – “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Thank God for a new day! Go ahead and REJOICE in it!!

5. Reasons to Rejoice! (1 Thess. 5:16) – “Rejoice evermore.”
The word “REJOICE” is χαίρω, which means “to be cheerful.” It can have to do with being calmly happy or even well-off. Are you cheerful?

Conclusion: There we have it — “REASONS to REJOICE.” So go ahead and REJOICE in the LORD!!
