Mountain Moving Faith

Introduction: Is it possible to have “MOUNTAIN MOVING FAITH”? How does that work?

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

1. Mountain Moving Faith begins with a need to believe what Jesus says!

“4And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, 15Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. 16And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.” (Matt 17:14-16)

A daddy had a need. Do you have a need?

2. Mountain Moving Faith hears what Jesus says!

“17Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. 18And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.” (Matt 17:17,18)

Listening to Jesus is the first step. Are you listening?

3. Mountain Moving Faith believes and acts upon the words and will of Jesus!

“ 19Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. 21Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” (Matt 17:19-21)

Instead of trying to figure it all out, sometimes we just need to obey!

Conclusion: MOUNTAIN MOVING FAITH ends with giving Jesus glory! Do you have a MOUNTAIN that needs moving?

The Great Reset – Upset

Introduction: Are you familiar with the WEF? World Economic Forum? Klaus  Schwab who is a German business man started this movement a number years ago with the goal of establishing global interests; i.e. world government. Meetings are held each year with prominent business, political, and religious leaders who have bought into this agenda. The new term used to describe their strategy is called “THE GREAT RESET.”

No one can deny that our world is in a mess! It is ripe for picking a global leader who will have economic answers.

Jesus Christ is our only  HOPE!! He is the only Hope for America and our world!!!

The Bible predicts that there is going to be a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT headed up by the Antichrist. Certainly, this agenda by the WEF is setting the stage for this futuristic event which will happen after the rapture of the Church.

The apostle John foretells of this coming one world government which will be in place during the tribulation. It is found in Revelation chapter eighteen, which is called Commercial, Political Babylon.

However, the message from Jesus Christ to the Church today is to OVERCOME. We are to OVERCOME this sinful and selfish world system by the power of the Holy Spirit!

1.The DESTINATION of the “Great Reset”, which ushers in a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT!

“And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Rev 18:1-4)

Clearly, the Antichrist along with the false prophet will head up this 10 king federation according to Daniel 7:7, 8, 24, and Rev 13:1-10; Rev 17:12.

When Jesus returns in His second coming, He will defeat the Antichrist and his world system. In addition, He will usher in His rule and reign, otherwise known as His Kingdom.

2.The REVELATION of JESUS CHRIST to His Church is to OVERCOME the Great Reset!

Messages to the 7 Churches- (Rev 2, 3)

  1. Ephesus – CHRISTians should be “Cleaving” instead “Leaving” our first love!
  2. Smyrna – Trade a “Cross” for a “Crown”!
  3. Pergamos -A “Stone” for a “Throne”!
  4. Thyatira- “Holdfast” until Jesus comes!
  5. Sardis – “Dead Churches” and

“Live CHRISTians”!

  1. Philadelphia- We the “Minority”, Standing on the “Authority”, reaching the “Majority”!
  2. Laodicea- “Hot or Cold” but not LUKEWARM!

Conclusion: For those of us who have been washed in the blood of the LAMB (Jesus), and passed from death into life, Jesus makes it clear we are to be OVERCOMERS!

This is made possible because Jesus Christ has OVERCOME!

“18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Rev 1:18)

The “GREAT RESET” will face the “GREAT UPSET”!

Reach Out and Touch Someone

Introduction: People are hurting…. Physically hurting, Spiritually hurting, and Emotionally hurting. What can we do?
We can Reach out a Hand and touch someone!
Three ways to reach out to someone:

1. Reach out with a Healing Hand!

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” (Gal 6:1)

The word “fault” is παράπτωμα,: (par-ap’-to-mah), which means a falling away, lapse, slip, false step, trespass, sin.

At times, CHRISTians get caught in a “fault.” They need restoring.

2. Reach out with a Helping Hand!

“2Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” (Gal 6:2)

To bear one another’s burdens means to help carry the load.

3. Reach out with a Hopeful Hand!

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Gal 6:9)

The word “weary” is ἐκκακέω,(ek-kak-eh’-o), I am faint, am weary.

The word “faint” means not give up. Do you ever feel like giving up? Have you ever grown weary in doing good? It can be tiresome. Therefore, we need to renew our strength as we wait upon the Lord.

“1But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isa 40:31)

Conclusion: Do you need to wait upon the Lord? Will you Reach out a Healing Hand, Helpful Hand, and a Hopeful Hand to someone in need?

A Favorite Psalm

Introduction: I love Psalm 23! The shepherd boy David, who later became the King of Israel, learned to develop his relationship with our Lord.

Suggestion: It will do us good to do the same. Why not read over this Psalm out loud. Think about it. Meditate on it. It will be a blessing!

1. Perfect Satisfaction!

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psa 23:1)

One little boy read this verse in the following way. “The Lord is my Shepherd, He knows all my wants”!

He was right. The Lord knows all of our wants.

2. Perfect Direction!

“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.” (Psa 23:2)

A good shepherd will lead his sheep to greener pastures. We are told that Sheep will not drink from running water.

3. Perfect Restoration!

“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” (Psa 23:3)

The word “restore” is שׁוּב, (shoob), which means to turn back, return. Jesus is able to turn back our soul.

4. Perfect Protection!

“4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” (Psa 23:4)

The shadow of death infers there is a light somewhere. Jesus is the LIGHT of the world (John 8:12). While walking “through” the valley of the shadow of death, Jesus who is the light, must be on the other side.

5. Perfect Celebration!
“5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” (Psa 23:5, 6)

Here is the great promise that we shall enjoy, being with Jesus in the house of the Lord forever.

Conclusion: What a great Word from the Lord! Psalm 23 is loaded with truth. Jesus can be seen Perfect in everything!!

Spring Forward

Introduction: Warmer temperatures. Green grass growing (weeds!)…Longer sunlight hours. All these are signs that Spring is on the way.

1. Spring time is a time for cleaning!

“For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; 12The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; 13The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.” (Song of Sol 2:11)

Here is a literal passage dealing with Solomon and his Shulamite bride. Yet there are some spiritual applications we can draw from the subject of spring. Do you ever put off projects during the cold winter months for when the temperature gets warmer? Spring Cleaning around the house is important. But just as important, if not more, is cleaning our hearts!

David said, “10Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” (Psa 51:10)

John writes to CHRISTians, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1John 1:9)

Equally important is our relationship with others. Releasing the debt of forgiveness is a part of spring cleaning.

Paul writes, “32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” (Eph 4:32)

What kind of projects do you have going on this spring?

Conclusion: Spring time is a great time to renew our relationship with Jesus Christ. Furthermore, it is an opportunity to reconcile relationships with our family and friends. What do you think?

Trusting God’s Heart When You Can’t See His Hand

Introduction: Why are all these bad things happening? Why doesn’t God do anything? Why hasn’t the Lord answered my prayers? Have you ever asked any of these questions? Check out Biblical answers for tough questions.

1. Our God Cares for us!

“7Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1Pet 5:7)

Jesus Christ proved His care by taking our place of judgement, so that we might go free from the penalty of sin, the power of sin, and one day the very presence of sin.

2. Our God has a useful purpose for even during troubles and trials as well as times of suffering!

“Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” (1Pet 1:6,7)

While going through trials, it is difficult to see God’s purpose. Sometimes it is not until we get to the other side that we see His ultimate plan.

3. Our God is making us more like Him!

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” (Rom 8:28,29)

No matter what we face in life, as a child of God, we can rest assured that our Lord has good things in store even in bad situations.

4. Our God’s Grace will be sufficient!

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2Cor 12:9-12)

Dealing with setbacks and hardships can be debilitating. But knowing that God’s Grace is available enables us to persevere.

5. Our God has the Big picture in mind!

“16For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2Cor 4:16-18)

Trials yesterday, turn into Trust today. Trust today, turns into Triumph tomorrow!

Conclusion: Only when we search the Scriptures for answers do we find direction and confidence in the God of the Bible. This in turn should lead us into a deeper level of trust and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Tasting the Fruit of the Spirit

Introduction: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” (Gal 5:22,23)

SWEET Fruit from the Holy Spirit within. Can you taste the sweet fruit that is produced through some CHRISTIANS? Check this out and see if these 9 different flavors are emanating through you:

We may need pruning?

1. Love
This is not love apart from Christ but rather love produced through the Vine – Jesus Christ (John 15:1-7). Sometimes according to our Lord, the branches (us) need to be cut back in order to bring forth MORE FRUIT!

2. Joy
Joy is not dependent upon circumstances. Joy is that deep abiding presence of Jesus no matter what we are going through. Praise the Lord, we can draw Joy out of the wells of God’s salvation! (Isa 12:2)

3. Peace
If only the medical world could create a PILL that would bring everlasting Peace; both Peace with God and the Peace of God. This PILL has been discovered…. IT IS CALLED the GOSPEL! Gospill

4. Longsuffering
“Patience” is the word μακροθυμία,( mak-roth-oo-mee’-ah), which means patience, forbearance, longsuffering. Patience cannot be bought. But Patience is freely given by the Holy Spirit when a person comes to Jesus as his or her personal Savior. Although, honestly, this flavor – Patience- must be tempered through the fires of this life’s affliction. How are you doing?

5. Gentleness
“Gentleness” is the word χρηστότης,( khray-stot’-ace), which means goodness, uprightness, kindness, gentleness.
Kindness is greatly needed in this age of RAGE! Are you kind or gentle? When you are opposed or criticized do you respond with kindness?

6. Goodness
Goodness comes from God. Jesus said there was none good. But God is good! His goodness is expressed through our inner most being. Expressing Goodness is not dependent upon everything going our way!

7. Faith
Are you Faithful? Faithfulness is the result of faith, not in reverse. Can you be depended upon by the Lord?

8. Meekness
Meekness is not WEAKNESS! Instead, MEEKNESS is strength under God’s control.

9. Temperance
The word “temperance” is ἐγκράτεια,( eng-krat’-i-ah), which means self-mastery, self-restraint, self-control, continence.
Question: is our FLESH controlling us or the SPIRIT? (See Gal 5:16-21)

Conclusion: When the fruit of the Spirit is growing through us others can “TASTE and SEE” that the LORD is GOOD!

Dr. Randy Reese

Time Management

Introduction: Do you ever feel like you need 25 HOURS in a day to get everything done you need to do? How can we be good stewards of the Time we have? (1Cor 4:2)

Hopefully, here are some suggestions you can try:

1. Set your PRIORITIES!

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matt 6:33,34)

In the context of needing everyday things in life; i.e., “food and clothing,” Jesus makes this statement. Actually, He is reminding His disciples and us today not to WORRY about these things. Now that does not mean we are to sit on our “Blessed Assurance” and do nothing. Instead, we are to work as God enables us to and through prayer trust in Him that He will meet our NEEDS….not necessarily our wants! Are you content?

How would you lists your PRIORITIES?

* Devotional TIME!
* Family TIME!
* Work TIME!
etc….

If we are not in a right relationship with our Lord then everything else is going to not be in place.

Do you need to rearrange your schedule? Is that TIME with Jesus your most IMPORTANT PRIORITY of the day?

2. Use your TIME Wisely!

“16Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” (Eph 5:16)

Life is short! Where are you at in life? Young? Old? Retired? Refired? In your 20’s 30’s 40’s 50’s 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s?

How much more TIME do we have left? You have got to admit….TIME flies!!

What kind of God-given goals do you have? Where are you in fulfilling God’s purpose for your life? Who do you need to pray for right now? Visit? Reach out to? Call? Text?

Conclusion: Since we all have the same amount of TIME per day, how can we best utilize the TIME we have? The answer is by setting our PRIORITIES.

“AARP” Where is Russia?

Introduction: You are probably wondering what is AARP? Besides being an insurance agency, this Pastor has used these letters to represent what is yet to take place in the future, according to the Bible. Certainly, one cannot deny the stage is being set. Think about what Daniel the prophet foretold in his description of the future. Question: Have you studied the other predictions in the book of Daniel that have already been fulfilled? Can we be confident that this passage like the others will come to fruition?

1. A- Antichrist Armies!

“But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things….and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. 41He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. 42He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.” (Dan 11:36-43)

Besides the other four personalities that are mentioned in Daniel Chapter 11, which have already moved on and off the scene, this fifth personality is a description of the Antichrist.

Please notice who he is, what he does, and where he goes.

2. A- Armies of North and South, and East aligned!

“40And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships…. 44But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him:” (Dan 11:40)

Suggestions of these Kings include Syria, Egypt, along with others.

3. RP- Return in Person, Jesus Christ!

“44But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. 45And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.” (Dan 11:36-43)

The “he” and “him” is the Antichrist.

It appears as these armies converge in the holy land, the Antichrist gets word and is troubled. Meanwhile, he establishes his reign in Jerusalem, namely in the temple on the Temple Mount.

However, as Daniel predicts, his agenda will be interrupted by the Return of Jesus Christ.

Conclusion: The suspense of not knowing what is going to happen can bring on anxiety. With our world in chaos and confusion, experiencing the Peace of God is achievable. But that only comes through Full trust in Jesus Christ and His Word!

Therefore, in the light of the current events that are taking place in our world, we have a choice…..worry or trust?

Which are you choosing?

Love y’all,
Dr. Randy Reese

Secure or Insecure

Introduction: Where is your security? Jobs? Health? Home? Bank account? Did you notice that you can lose all of those things overnight? Where do we find real security?

Let’s see:

1. Real SECURITY comes in things that do not CHANGE!

“38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom 8:38,39)

God’s love through Jesus Christ will NEVER change! Isn’t that comforting? Assuring? A Blessing?

2. Real SECURITY comes in things that do not CHANGE!

“5Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1Peter 1:5)

The word “kept” means guarded. In other words, our Lord has His people protected. That does not mean that we will escape hardship, affliction, troubles and trials. But it does mean He is going to see us through them!

3. Real SECURITY comes in things that do not CHANGE!

The Word of God does not change!!

“89For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.” (Psalm 119:89)

While culture, fashions, and seasons change, the Bible is steadfast! We can depend upon its promises!! It stands, and we can stand on it.

5. Real SECURITY comes in things that do not CHANGE!

“16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1Thess 4:16-18)

Since the Word of God has been fulfilled in the past, we can be confident it will be fulfilled in the future.

Praise the Lord! Every Christian’s future is bright!

Conclusion: How are you doing in the area of security? Good or bad? Standing or falling? Learning to distinguish between what is unchangeable and changeable is the first step to finding real security. Think about it.

Jesus does not change. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” (Heb 13:8)

That is where CHRISTians find real security! Do you feel insecure? Consider why. Make the transition.
