When Things Get Out of Our Control

Introduction: It is nice to think we are in control, but that is not the truth. Some things we can control but much is out of our control. What is out of your control right now? What should you do?
1. Remember we are not in control! (Rom 8:29,30) – “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” God knows ahead of time. Therefore, since we do not, we need to trust Him, no matter what! Are you right now?
2. Remember God is in control! (Rom 8:28) – “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Did you notice “all things”? That means everything.
3. Remember to let your life be under His control! (Rom 8:35-39) – “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Let Jesus have control… the sooner the better!
Conclusion: The key to having Peace & security is understanding what is under our control and what is not under our control. Then we can rest because Jesus is in control!
