Women’s Missionary Union

W.M.U. stands for Women’s Missionary Union.  Our responsibility and pleasure is missions. Seeking to walk worthy and to be pleasing to Him, we plan something each month that is a ministry in His work. For example, we visit shut-ins.  We have a birthday party every January for the residents of the Retreat Nursing Home in our local town of Monticello.

We also have a heart for children in need.  In the past, we have collected canned goods, and provided book bags for school children and gift certificates for those in children’s homes.  We have sponsored the Christmas Child shoe boxes, and we always try to help those who have needs at Christmas.

In addition, the W.M.U. observes the Lottie Moon Christmas offering and Season of Prayer for International Missions, and the Annie Armstrong offering and Season of Prayer for North American Missions.

We are always willing to be in His service, whether it be here at home or in other places. All women are invited to be a part of this missions ministry.  If you have a heart for those in need, come join us.  We meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 10:30 AM.
